Ultrashape treatment
Ultrashape is new development in cosmetic surgery offering a painless alternative to liposuction. Ultrasound waves, similar to those used during pregnancy scans, are used to break down fat cells. The treatment was designed to treat the three most common areas of the body where excess fat gathers, namely the abdomen, love handles and external thighs.
A hand-held transducer delivers these powerful, directed ultrasound beams over body, and the beam destroys fat cells. The broken down fat cells are naturally absorbed by the body's white blood cells. The fat cell content, which are mostly made up of triglycerides, is then transported through the body to the liver. As the liver makes no distinction between this fat and the type of fat you obtain from food, it is treated naturally by the body.
The Ultrashape treatment takes between 1 hour to 1.5 hours, depending on the size of the area to be treated. In most cases, you can can return home immediately after the procedure. There are no serious risks associated with the Ultrashape although some people such as pregnant women or those with have high cholesterol may be not suitable for the treatment.
Clinical results of the procedure show that on average Ultrashape patients have experienced a reduction of four centimeters after 3 treatments. However, some women have been lucky enough to lose as much as ten centimeters.
Ultrashape costs in the region of $1000 for a small area of the body but obviously the more fat you want to target, the more expensive it becomes. It may cost a little more than standard liposuction but the risks and potential for complications are much lower.

But remember, even although Ultrashape carries very little risk, it is still advisable to choose a reputable clinic with a strong track record of performing the procedure. This helps reduce the chances of receiving inferior treatment or of potential complications arising.
